Merit cum Means Scholarship for IITs in India


There will be one MCM scholarship named 'IIT London Chapter – MCM Scholarship' for each of the established IITs interested in IITLC Scholarship.

The scholarships will be to a value of Rs. 2000pm for a period of 10 months starting with the academic year 2010/2011.

The scholarships will be reviewed on an annual basis for value and continuity with no obligation on IITLC to continue.

The scholarships will be awarded to a second year UG student based on the criterion set out by IITs in line with their MCM scholarship policy. IITs will ensure that means testing is done adequately to the set criteria and the candidates are not in receipt of any other scholarship.

IITs will publicise the offer of scholarship on their appropriate advertising boards/ website etc clearly associating it with IIT London Chapter (www.IITLC.org)

IITs will send three CVs of their recommendation to IITLC who will make the final candidate selection. If the selected candidate withdraws for any reason or is awarded another scholarship then IITLC will revert with the next selection.

IITLC may some times request the progress of the candidate based on mid-term or semester end exams.

IITLC may some times be interested in the progress of the awardee after graduation to the extent possible.
